The Catalina Hotel & Beach Club offered great energy and vibe throughout my stay. The location didn’t disappoint. just a short walk to the beach. Staff comprised friendly faces, always ready to help. Enjoyed the happy hour, perfect for relaxing after a full day. Rooms featured a lively decor that brightened the ambiance, but cleanliness issues were hard to overlook. I found long hair on the bathroom floor and surfaces that didn’t get a proper wipe-down. That definitely detracted from an otherwise nice stay. The rooftop pool area was a fantastic place to unwind, with inviting lounge chairs and lovely views. However, the noise from nearby bars could interrupt a peaceful afternoon. Parking was pricier than expected, and the check-in process felt a bit disorganized. Despite the drawbacks, the charm of the hotel made it worthwhile.

I hit the jackpot in Miami Beach! Must-try local spots include The Bazaar by Jose Andres, serving up creative tapas that burst with flavor. And let's not forget the poolside vibes at Catalina! The happy hour next door had me sipping on delicious cocktails while soaking up the sun.
On the flip side, the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. Seriously, I walked into a mess that smelled stale, sheets were questionable, and what’s up with a WiFi connection that dropped more than my phone calls? Not cool, Catalina!

missingWrote a review on 12 Octpool cleanliness
A few inconveniences popped up during my stay. The elevator frequently broke down, forcing me to trek up three flights of stairs, which was a hassle when hauling luggage during checkout. The bed felt unusually hard, making it tough to get a good night's rest. Additionally, music from the rooftop pool started blasting early every morning. The daily resort fee felt a bit steep given the lack of resort-like amenities. Lastly, both pools could definitely use a cleaning, as unsightly insects and hair were floating around. Not exactly appealing scenery.
